Against The Storm has always offered a diverse range of animal-people to manage while constructing a town to withstand the perpetual rain of the Blightstorm. The latest expansion, Keepers Of The Stone, introduces yet another addition to the mix – the frog people. Set to launch on September 26th, players will have the opportunity to interact with these new characters as they explore a fresh biome.
Exploring the Coastal Groves
Keepers Of The Stone transports players to the Coastal Groves, a region where settlements are strategically built along the water’s edge. This expansion introduces the construction of Strider Ports and allows players to embark on water-based expeditions riding on the backs of water striders. Additionally, new buildings like the Pantry, Cannery, and the innovative Frog House are introduced. The Frog House serves as the habitat for the frog people and can be upgraded multiple times to ensure their contentment, providing unique benefits at each level.
Update 1.4: Fishing System and More
Scheduled for release on the same day as the expansion, Against The Storm’s update 1.4 brings a plethora of enhancements to the game. Players can look forward to a new fishing system, updated requirements, additional goods, and various other modifications at no extra cost. However, to access the frog people, the new biome, and other features, players will need to purchase the DLC. Pricing details have not been disclosed on the Steam page yet. Despite not having revisited Against the Storm since its initial release, the game has garnered praise in Early Access and continued to impress upon its full launch. Fans can anticipate Eremite Games to deliver a compelling expansion that enhances the gameplay experience.
