Nintendo has had great success in the film industry with the Super Mario Bros. Movie, which grossed over $1 billion at the box office. Now, fans can look forward to a follow-up movie set to be released on April 3rd, 2026.
The next Nintendo movie is currently in development, with Illumination Studios Paris working on storyboarding under the direction of Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. The animation process is set to begin soon, promising fans an exciting new adventure that expands on the world established in the first film.
