The gaming community has been buzzing with excitement over rumors that The Last of Us Part II will be making its way to PC. According to a report from Dealabs’ Billbil-kun, who has a track record of accurately predicting PlayStation PC ports, development on the PC version of the game was supposedly completed several months ago. However, despite this, fans may have to wait until 2025 for the official release date.

It has been claimed that a PC version of The Last of Us 2 has been in development since 2021 and was reportedly finished by November of last year. While details about the specifics of the PC release are still scarce, many believe that it will likely be based on the remastered version of the game, similar to the release of the first installment on PC in March of last year.

Although the development of the PC port seems to have been wrapped up for quite some time, the delay in the release date may be attributed to giving the console version some breathing room. The remastered version of The Last of Us Part II was released for PS5 earlier this year, possibly explaining the wait for the PC launch.

Billbil-kun hinted that the PC release of The Last of Us 2 may coincide with the second season of the HBO adaptation of the game. This aligns with the trend of many PlayStation exclusives finding their way to PC, albeit with the requirement of signing in with a PlayStation account.

While there has been no official confirmation from Sony regarding the PC release of The Last of Us Part II, fans remain hopeful for the crossover. As the gaming community eagerly anticipates the possibility of experiencing the game on a new platform, the speculation and rumors continue to fuel excitement for what could potentially be a groundbreaking release in the future.
